TB2 Second Generation Aviation: Updates on Satellite Communications and Photovoltaic/Infrared Arrays
Baykar is integrating a second-generation avionics suite into the world’s best-selling Turkish drone Bayraktar TB2. This update will also be offered as a retroactive upgrade package for current operators.
Satellite communications are here
The original TB2 was not only lacking in beyond-line-of-sight communication data links. With the launch of the second-generation package, satellite communications (SATCOM) capabilities will be added to the TB2. This significantly increases mission range.
Completely new EO/IR suite
The sensor unit on the platform is being updated. The new EO/IR suite offers higher resolution, improved target tracking, and integration of a laser rangefinder.
Open to exporting customers
The upgrade package will also be available to current exporting customers. Approximately 30 global operators of the Bayraktar TB2 will be able to benefit from the new package.
