Who operates GÖKBEY? Agencies, tasks, and configurations

GÖKBEY (T625) is built on the principle of “one airframe, many tasks” and meets both military and civilian needs from a single machine. The basic design can be adapted for transport, air ambulance, search and rescue, and VIP tasks, allowing agencies to consolidate diverse fleets into one family.

Operating agencies

Gendarmerie: First Operator

The first delivery of GÖKBEY took place on October 29, 2024 for the gendarmerie; the first serial machine J6004 was delivered on August 19, 2025. The gendarmerie uses the platform in a multi-role capacity for transporting personnel across vast territories.

Coast Guard and Search and Rescue

The package of 57 machines ordered at IDEF 2025 (July 24, 2025) includes six for the coast guard. Tailored for maritime operations, search and rescue (SAR), and surveillance, these helicopters will enhance coastal and maritime security.

Ministry of Health: Air Ambulance

The spacious cabin and safety of the twin engines make GÖKBEY suitable for air ambulance (MEDEVAC) operations. The configuration with stretchers, resuscitation equipment, and medical crew saves time in transporting critically ill patients.
