Savronik munitions electronics: ARK-101, TT-101

Quick answer: Munitions electronics is the field in which Savronik was founded: its first product, in 1987, was the Z02 KOBRA intervalometer governing rocket firing from combat aircraft. The current portfolio covers the intervalometer and rocket interface unit for air platforms, together with two critical components of the firing chain, the ARK-101 high-voltage triggered arc switch and the TT-101 trigger transformer. In an assessment of 96 serial production suppliers in 2023, Roketsan placed Savronik in the top five and named it a “Strategic Partner”.
Founding DNA: fire control units
According to the official history, the company’s first products were in fire control electronics:
- 1987 – the Z02 KOBRA intervalometer: a programmable firing system capable of recording flight data, for aircraft carrying the KOBRA and SUU-20 weapon adapters such as the F-4, F-5 and F-104.
- 1990 – the SUU-25 intervalometer: a fire control unit for flare release on F-4 and F-5 aircraft.
- 1990 – ATMACA: the fire control system governing rocket firing on the Turkish Land Forces’ multiple launch rocket systems.
- 1999 – new-generation fire control: an advanced-function fire control system for a new Land Forces rocket platform.
- 2013 – the FIRTINA ammunition resupply vehicle: a serial production contract with ASELSAN for power distribution units and control units for the self-propelled howitzer’s resupply vehicle.
This product line also turned into exports: intervalometers were sold to the Indonesian Air Force in 2003 and to the United States in 2005; the detail is in the exports file. For the company’s founding story, see the Who owns Savronik? file.

Where are the ARK-101 and TT-101 used?
Triggered arc switches, also known as spark gaps, are switching elements that transfer high voltage stored in a capacitor to a load within microseconds. On the munitions side, this component class is used in electronic safe-and-arm and firing unit (EEKAB) architectures to fire exploding foil initiators (EFI); a Turkish patent held by Roketsan describes a firing capacitor and trigger circuit in the order of 1,400 volts within such an architecture. Savronik lists the ARK-101 and TT-101 on its official website as the indigenous components of this class; which munitions programmes they are used in has not been officially disclosed. The 2026 industry catalogue of the Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB) also lists munitions electronics items under the Savronik heading.
The strategic supply relationship with Roketsan
At Roketsan’s Strategic Partnership Summit in September 2023, Savronik entered the top five among 96 companies in the serial production supplier segmentation and received the Strategic Partner award. Savronik chief executive Tarkan Uygunuçarlar described the award as confirmation of the company’s position in the serial production supply chain. Which components are delivered to Roketsan has not been disclosed; the company’s on-missile systems heading also appears among its activity areas in the SASAD profile.

Around the avionics firing electronics
Munitions electronics works hand in hand with the company’s avionics products: signal switching units manage video and serial lines, while power distribution units supply energy to the firing systems. All components are qualified to the MIL-STD-810 environmental and MIL-STD-461 electromagnetic compatibility standards, and production is carried out at the plant in Eskişehir. The full breakdown of the product family appears in the guide page.

Frequently asked questions
What does an intervalometer do?
It is the fire control unit that governs the order in which rockets are fired from pods on an aircraft or helicopter, and whether they are released singly or in salvo.
What is the ARK-101?
A hermetic, pressurised-gas, three-electrode high-voltage triggered arc switch; it transfers energy stored in a capacitor to the load on a trigger signal.
Does Savronik produce EEKAB units?
No product under the EEKAB name is listed on the official website; the company produces the ARK-101 and TT-101 components used in that architecture. Munitions electronics items appear under the Savronik heading in the SSB 2026 catalogue; programme-level use has not been officially disclosed.
What is the relationship with Roketsan?
Savronik is a serial production supplier to Roketsan and one of five companies named Strategic Partner in 2023; the components delivered have not been disclosed.
Have these products been exported?
Intervalometers were exported to Indonesia in 2003 and the United States in 2005; no publicly available export record exists for the ARK-101 and TT-101.
