What Is It?

PAC-3 MSE (Missile Segment Enhancement) is the most advanced variant of the Patriot missile family. While the classic PAC-2 GEM-T uses an HE-fragmentation warhead, PAC-3 destroys targets through pure kinetic impact. The MSE enlarged the main motor, raising range from 35 km to 60 km and altitude from 20 km to 36 km. A single Patriot launcher fits 16 PAC-3 MSE (4 quad-packs).
