What is GÖKSİM?
GÖKSİM is the full-mission simulator for the T625 Gökbey general-purpose helicopter developed by TUSAŞ. Built by HAVELSAN, the simulator is used for type introduction, emergency procedures, recurrent, mission rehearsal and maintenance/test-pilot training.
Level D and real flight hours
GÖKSİM meets the highest qualification level of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). As a result, training hours completed in the simulator can count as equivalent to real flight hours. This both lowers training cost and lets risky scenarios be repeated safely.
Domestic software end to end
The simulator’s software was developed entirely domestically; the visual system, screens, image generator, databases and environment modeling were produced locally with their own libraries. This removes external dependency and lets the system be updated freely to fit needs.
Which training does it support?
GÖKSİM is used in type introduction, emergency procedures, recurrent training, mission rehearsal and maintenance/test-pilot training. The pilot can thus experience the aircraft’s behaviour and possible emergencies many times before boarding a real helicopter.
