Angola’s Navy Takes Delivery of Six ANAVIA HT-100 NAVAL Unmanned Helicopters

UAE-based defense group EDGE has delivered six ANAVIA HT-100 NAVAL unmanned helicopters, developed with Swiss manufacturer ANAVIA, to the Angolan Navy. The handover followed Factory Acceptance Trials held August 24-28 at ANAVIA’s facility in Bilten, Switzerland.

Background

The HT-100 NAVAL is the maritime variant of ANAVIA’s standard HT-100 unmanned helicopter. Its carbon-composite airframe is built to resist saltwater corrosion, with sealed electronics rated for continuous exposure to marine conditions. A standout feature is fully autonomous, radar-guided deck landing, which makes UAV operations viable even aboard smaller-tonnage corvettes.

The Angolan Navy will integrate the unmanned helicopters onto three BR71 MK II Combattante-class corvettes built by ADSB.
