What Is the M-ATV? Oshkosh Defense’s MRAP Category Vehicle

The M-ATV (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected — All Terrain Vehicle) is Oshkosh Defense’s protected tactical vehicle developed in 2009 in response to the urgent requirements of U.S. Army and Marine Corps operations. The M-ATV addressed the critical gap between the blast protection of standard MRAP vehicles and the terrain mobility demands of Afghanistan’s mountainous terrain.
