ROKETSAN from the local space launch vehicle: Ground tests at the end of 2026
Yazı Özetini Göster

ROKETSAN is developing a Small Satellite Launch System (MUFS), with ground tests set to begin at the end of 2026. The project represents a critical step in Turkey’s ability to access space domestically.

Special Design for Small Satellites

The MUFS is designed to transport small satellites weighing up to 100 kg to low Earth orbit (LEO) with a small payload capacity. This serves the global small satellite market, which has experienced rapid growth in recent years.

Domestic Fuel System

All propulsion stages in the system have been developed domestically. The chemical knowledge of fuels that ROKETSAN has gained over the years in ballistic and long-range missile systems has been directly transferred to the MUFS project.

Space Strategy

Developing the capability for domestic launches is one of the main objectives in the Turkish Space Agency’s ten-year plan. The MUFS is positioned as the first operational step towards achieving this goal.
