MKE Boran 105mm: New export agreement for lightweight anti-tank gun
MKE (Machine and Chemical Industry) has signed a new export agreement for the lightweight 105 mm Boran cannon that has been developed. The system features a compact design that can be integrated into armored vehicles.
Light but Effective
The Boran has been developed as a derivative version of traditional 105 mm main battle tank guns. Thanks to its lighter weight and low recoil, it can be integrated into wheeled vehicles and medium vehicles as well as heavy armored platforms.
Target Market
The country where the export agreement was signed plans to arm its medium armored combat vehicles with the Boran. The modular structure of the Boran family facilitates adaptation to existing platforms.
Integration of FNSS and Otokar
MKE offers the Boran cannon as an integration package option for FNSS and Otokar medium vehicles. This allows a single gun design to be used across different vehicle families.
