A genuine Turkish defense industry game has finally landed, and it carries the Envanter Medya signature. In ALTAY Operation you take the wheel of Turkey’s national main battle tank, the ALTAY, in a top-down (2.5D) tactical experience that runs straight in your browser. No download, no fee, just pure homegrown action on canvas.
A real village, real vehicles
What sets this Altay tank game apart from anything else is its map. It is not invented terrain. The battlefield is built on the actual road network of Davulhöyük, a village in Gürün, Sivas. As you weave through the narrow lanes, you are driving across a corner of Anatolia that genuinely exists. The effort the Envanter Medya team put into mapping it is the project’s quiet triumph.
You are not alone out there. Alongside the ALTAY, the game fields the KAPLAN and PARS armored vehicles, the mine-resistant KİRPİ, and overhead support from the Bayraktar TB2 drone. Each vehicle comes with a real information card, so you learn about Turkey’s national fleet while you play.
How it plays
The controls are familiar but smooth. On desktop you drive with WASD and aim the turret a full 360 degrees with the mouse. The real thrill is air support: hit the B key and the Bayraktar TB2 sweeps in, radio chatter included, delivering area damage exactly where you mark it. Mobile players are not left behind either, with an on-screen joystick, fire button, and a dedicated TB2 button.
A mission-based structure gives the action purpose, from entering the village to seizing a control point step by step. Allied AI tanks, a mini-map, and a directional damage indicator sharpen the tactical feel. This is, in short, a proper free Turkish tank game.
The village and place names are arranged for gameplay purposes, while the vehicle data draws on publicly available manufacturer and Defense Industries Presidency sources, with no claim to classified specifications.
