The Dutch Ministry of Defence has signed a strategic three-year partnership worth over 30 million euros with Intelic, making the Netherlands the first country to formally invest in a software-first military interoperability approach. The partnership centers on Intelic’s NEXUS Command-and-Control platform, which enables unmanned systems from different manufacturers to operate seamlessly within a single mission environment. NEXUS has been deployed operationally in Ukraine since 2025, enabling rapid drone operator response to changing battlefield conditions. With over 700 drone manufacturers operating across Europe, the real bottleneck for defense buyers is no longer hardware access but systems interoperability. The partnership represents a strategic pivot toward addressing integration challenges before platform procurement.
