TF-2000 Air Defense Frigate: SİPER Integrated Design Phase
The integration of the TF-2000 Air Defense Frigate for the Turkish Navy with the SİPER long-range air defense missile has entered the design phase. ASFAT shared the progress of the project.
Vertical Launch System
The TF-2000 will utilize a multi-cell vertical launch system (VLS). In this way, the SİPER and other domestically produced air defense missiles can be launched from a single architecture.
Area Air Defense
The primary mission of the TF-2000 is to provide area air defense for naval combat forces. The design at this level is intended to respond to multi-layered threat characteristics, including ballistic missile early warning.
ÇAFRAD and the First Ship
The sensor framework at this level will be an advanced version of ÇAFRAD. The keel laying date for the first ship is planned for mid-2027.
