TB2 Second Generation Avionics: SATCOM and EO/IR Package Updated
BAYKAR is integrating a second-generation avionics package into the world’s best-selling Turkish unmanned aerial vehicle Bayraktar TB2. The update will also be offered as a retroactive upgrade package to existing operators.
SATCOM is Coming
The original version of the TB2 did not have beyond-line-of-sight communication data link capability. With the second-generation package, satellite communication (SATCOM) capability is coming to the TB2. This significantly increases the mission range.
New EO/IR Suite
The platform’s sensor pod is being renewed. The new EO/IR suite provides higher resolution, improved target tracking, and laser rangefinder integration.
Open to Export Customers
The upgrade package will also be offered to existing export customers. Nearly 30 operators of the Bayraktar TB2 worldwide will be able to benefit from the new package.
