MKE Boran 105mm: New export agreement for light anti-tank weapon
MKE (Machine Engineering and Chemical Industry) has signed a new export agreement for the 105mm light gun Boran. The system attracts attention with its compact design, which can be integrated into armored vehicles.
Light yet effective
Boran was developed as a derivative of classic 105mm guns used in main battle tanks. With a lighter weight and reduced recoil, it can be integrated not only into heavy armored tracked platforms but also into wheeled and medium vehicles.
Target market
The country with which the export agreement was signed plans to equip its medium armored personnel carriers with Boran guns. The modular structure of the Boran family facilitates adaptation to existing platforms.
Integration of FNSS and Otokar
MKE offers the Boran gun as an optional package for integration into both FNSS and Otokar medium vehicles. Thus, the same gun design can be used across different families of vehicles.
