KM3 Amphibious Bridge: Hanwha’s 50-Ton River Crossing System

The KM3 is Hanwha Aerospace and Hanwha Defense’s modular amphibious bridge and ferry system. 8×8 wheeled modules operate as independent ferries or combine to form a river bridge, carrying MBT-class loads at 50+ tons.
Why Mobile Bridging Is Critical
Fixed bridges are first-strike targets. The KM3 deploys independently of fixed infrastructure; bridge assembly completes in 15–30 minutes anywhere along a riverbank.
Modular Flexibility
Each vehicle is a self-propelled ferry; multiple modules link side-by-side to form a crossing bridge. Bridge length dynamically adapts to river width.
