ASELSAN Signs $157.9 Million Export Deal Spanning Electronic Warfare to Weapon Systems

Turkish defence electronics maker ASELSAN disclosed on 6 October 2026, through a filing with Turkey’s Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), that it had signed new export sales contracts worth a combined $157.9 million with customers abroad. According to the filing, the contracts cover six product lines: electronic warfare, electro-optics, seeker heads, reconnaissance-surveillance, communications, and weapon systems.
As is standard practice for ASELSAN’s export disclosures, the filing does not name the buying country or company. The agreement’s effective start date is listed as 6 October 2026, and the company’s own assessment states the deal “will positively affect the company’s revenue.”
The six product categories named in the filing cover much of ASELSAN’s defence-electronics portfolio. Electronic warfare systems are built to detect or neutralise an adversary’s radar and communications; electro-optics covers thermal cameras, laser rangefinders and imaging systems; seeker-head technology underpins the target-acquisition and lock-on function of guided munitions; and reconnaissance-surveillance and communications equipment form part of the command-and-control chain across land, sea and air platforms. The weapon systems category spans ASELSAN’s product line from remote weapon stations to larger-calibre systems.
Bundling such a wide span of product categories into a single contract package points to a sales approach ASELSAN has increasingly favoured: rather than selling individual items, it packages several components of a platform or an operational chain together. That gives the buyer logistical and training continuity across the bundle while also raising the overall value of a single contract.
The frequency of ASELSAN’s export and supply contracts disclosed to KAP throughout 2026 reflects sustained demand for its defence electronics, both domestically and abroad. Because the company’s shares are publicly traded, such sales are routinely disclosed through the exchange’s regulatory filings — though, as with most of these disclosures, customer identity and technical specifics remain under commercial confidentiality in this one too.
The contract’s value underscores ASELSAN’s standing in Turkey’s defence export sector. Turkish defence and aerospace exports have been on a steady upward trajectory in recent years, and ASELSAN’s competitiveness in electronic warfare and electro-optics remains a significant contributor to that growth. The company’s ability to adapt the same product families to customers across different regions also points to an export strategy not reliant on any single market.
ASELSAN is a defence electronics company listed on Borsa Istanbul and affiliated with the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation. While domestic contracts with the Turkish military and the Presidency of Defence Industries still make up the bulk of its revenue, management has repeatedly described growing the export share of its business as a corporate priority in recent years. This $157.9 million package is a current example of the company’s capacity to offer multiple product families to a single customer or market at once.
The KAP filing gives no information on the implementation timeline or delivery schedule for the contracts. How much of this agreement will be reflected in ASELSAN’s 2026 revenue will likely become clearer in the company’s financial reporting. For now, the information in the public domain is limited to the amount and the product categories named in the disclosure.
