HGK-3 GPS/INS Guided Kit: New export permits received

TÜBİTAK SAGE has developed the HGK-3 GPS/INS guidance kit, which has received additional export approvals with the new version. The system enables classic bombs MK-83 and MK-84 to achieve precise targeting.

Thanks to the GPS/INS guidance kit installed as a tail module, HGK-3 allows classic bombs to be transformed into guided munitions.

In the Turkish Air Force

HGK-3 is currently used operationally in the F-16 squadrons of the Turkish Air Force. The system serves as both the foundation of the TÜBİTAK SAGE smart munitions family and the primary munition for precision strike operations.

Capabilities of the New Version

The new version offers more powerful GPS signal jamming and more reliable performance in GPS jamming conditions. The backup INS mode has also been enhanced.
