SIPER Block-II: New Iron Dome Position for Long-Range Air Defense Missiles

The long-range domestic air defense system SİPER of Turkey has gained a more critical position within the country’s Steel Dome architecture through the Block-II version. This project is a collaboration between ROKETSAN and ASELSAN, with the first stock delivery approaching.
What are the new changes in Block-II?
Block-II has significant improvements in range and engagement limits compared to previous versions. At the same time, it provides essential coverage against ballistic missile threats.
Command Control
SİPER connects with the HİSAR series and other air defense layers through joint command control software developed by ASELSAN. The Steel Dome concept, managed by a single air situation, enhances the strategic value of SİPER.
Next Steps
The first operational delivery of SİPER Block-II will begin at the end of this year. Preliminary work on the Block-III version is also being conducted simultaneously.
