Local ROKETSAN missile: Ground tests will be completed by the end of 2026.
RocketSAN will begin ground tests for the small satellite launch system (MUFS) at the end of 2026. This project is a key step towards Turkey’s ability to access space domestically.
Custom Design for Small Satellites
The MUFS is designed to deliver small satellites weighing around 100 kilograms to low Earth orbit (LEO), where its small payload capacity serves the rapidly growing global small satellite market in recent years.
Local Fuel System
All propulsion stages in the system have been developed locally. The chemical knowledge of fuel that RocketSAN has gained over the years in ballistic missiles and long-range systems has been directly transferred to the MUFS project.
Space Strategy
In the Turkish Space Agency’s ten-year plan, developing the capability for domestic launches is considered one of the priority objectives. The MUFS is positioned as the first operational step to achieve this goal.
