FNSS KAPLAN MT Medium Tanks: Update in Indonesian Configuration
FNSS and PT Pindad have jointly developed an extensive upgrade package for the KAPLAN MT, a medium tank configured for Indonesia, known as Harimau. The system will expand its role in the inventory of the Indonesian army.

KAPLAN MT occupies an intermediate position between a main battle tank and an armored personnel carrier in the medium tank category. It offers an optimized balance of armor and mobility for operations in tropical forests and soft terrains.
Specific Upgrades for Indonesia
The upgrade package includes a cooling system optimized for tropical climates, integration of local communication, and an improved fire control system.
Expectations for the Second Client
FNSS has begun preliminary negotiations for a second client for the KAPLAN MT in the Asian market. The Philippines, Malaysia, and Bangladesh are among the potential clients.
