TF-2000 Air Defense Frigate: Integration of SİPER at the Design Stage
For the Turkish Naval Forces, the integration of the TF-2000 air defense frigate with the SIPER long-range air defense system has reached the design stage. ASFAT shared progress on the project.
Vertical Launch System
The TF-2000 will utilize a multi-cell vertical launch system (VLS). This will allow the launch of SIPER and other domestic air defense missiles that will be produced in the future from a single architecture.
Regional Air Defense
The main task of the TF-2000 is to provide regional air defense for the naval combat group. The class is designed to respond to a multi-layered threat profile, including early warning of ballistic missiles.
ÇAFRAD and THE FIRST SHIP
The sensor architecture of the class will be an advanced version of ÇAFRAD. The keel-laying date for the first ship is planned for mid-2027.
