FNSS KAPLAN MT Medium Tank: Indonesia Configuration Update
FNSS and PT Pindad have announced a comprehensive upgrade package for the Indonesian configuration Harimau of the KAPLAN MT medium tank developed in collaboration. This system will expand the role of the Indonesian Army in its inventory.

The KAPLAN MT belongs to the medium tank category, filling the gap between main battle tanks and armored combat vehicles. It offers an optimized armor-mobility balance for operations in tropical forests and soft soil.
Indonesia-Specific Updates
The upgrade package includes a cooling system optimized for tropical climates, local communication integration, and improved fire control.
Second Customer Anticipated
FNSS has begun preliminary negotiations with a second customer in the Asian market. The Philippines, Malaysia, and Bangladesh are among the potential clients.
