Yazı Özetini Göster

Roketsan announced that it has reached the final stage of developing the Block-II version of its domestically produced anti-ship missile ATMACA, which is in the inventory of the Turkish naval forces. The new version offers significant improvements in range and accuracy.

Significant Increase in Range

The range of the standard version of ATMACA, which exceeds 220 km, has been increased in Block-II thanks to a more efficient engine design. Although Roketsan has not yet revealed the exact figure, industry sources indicate that the range value will approach the threshold of 350 km.

New Seeker Head

The most important innovation in Block-II is the improved seeker head. The active radar seeker has been developed to provide a more reliable lock-on in dense electronic warfare environments and against targets close to the shore.

Operator Expectations

The number of ships that will integrate ATMACA into their inventory is expected to increase in the coming years. In addition to the upgraded MİLGEM Ada-class corvettes and Istanbul-class destroyers, export customers are also interested in the Block-II configuration.
