ASELSAN KORAL EH System: Operational Evaluation in NATO Exercise

ASELSAN has operationally utilized its national electronic warfare system KORAL in an exercise conducted under NATO. The system was evaluated in jamming and deception missions aimed at air defense radars.
KORAL’s Position
KORAL is a ground-deployed electronic warfare system. It jams enemy air defense radars at long range, allowing friendly air forces to conduct operations more safely.
Exercise Results
In the NATO exercise, KORAL successfully carried out the simultaneous jamming mission against threats from multiple radars. The system proved effective in a modern electronic warfare environment due to its frequency hopping capability and deceptive signal generation.
Next Version
ASELSAN will transition to an improved GaN-based RF infrastructure in the next version of the KORAL family. This will increase the effective jamming range of the system and the number of simultaneous threat targets.
