ASELSAN KORAL EH System: Operational Assessment in NATO Exercises

ASELSAN local electronic warfare system KORAL was operationally used in exercises conducted within NATO. The system was evaluated in tasks of suppression and deception of radars of air defense.
Role of KORAL
KORAL is a ground-based electronic warfare system. It ensures safer execution of operations by friendly air assets by suppressing enemy radars at long ranges.
Exercise Results
In the NATO exercises, KORAL successfully accomplished the task of simultaneous suppression against multiple radar threats. The system proved its effectiveness in modern electronic warfare conditions due to its frequency maneuvering capability and generation of deceptive signals.
Next Version
ASELSAN will transition to an improved RF infrastructure based on GaN in the next version of the KORAL family. This will increase the effective suppression range of the system and the number of simultaneously targeted threats.
