ROKETSAN announced that it has reached the final stage of the development process for the Block-II version of the indigenous anti-ship missile ATMACA, which is in the inventory of the Turkish Navy. The new version brings significant improvements in range and precision.

Significant Increase in Range

The range of the standard ATMACA version, which is over 220 km, has been increased in Block-II thanks to a more efficient engine design. Although ROKETSAN has not yet disclosed the exact figure, industry sources indicate that the range value will approach the 350 km threshold.

New Seeker Head

The most critical innovation of Block-II is the revamped seeker head. The active radar seeker has been developed to provide more reliable locking in dense electronic warfare environments and against targets close to the coastline.

Operator Expectations

The number of ships that will incorporate the ATMACA into their inventory is expected to increase in the coming years. In addition to the renewed MİLGEM Ada-class corvettes and Istanbul-class frigates, export customers are also interested in the Block-II configuration.
