Russia Fires 690 Weapons at Ukraine Including Oreshnik IRBM; Bila Tserkva Targeted

Russia launched a large-scale combined attack against Ukraine overnight on May 24–25, 2026, deploying a total of 690 weapons including the Oreshnik intermediate-range ballistic missile (IRBM). This marked the third operational use of the Oreshnik in the conflict.

The primary target was Bila Tserkva, approximately 80 km south of Kyiv. Military command facilities, air bases, and industrial infrastructure were among the sites targeted. Ukraine’s Air Force announced that 604 of the 690 weapons were successfully intercepted.

Casualties and Damage

The attack killed 4 people and wounded more than 65. In Bila Tserkva, 27 high-rise buildings were damaged. A state of emergency was declared in the area.
