What Is the MAN HX? Rheinmetall’s NATO Logistics Truck Family Explained
The MAN HX series is the family of heavy military trucks produced by Rheinmetall’s MAN Defence subsidiary. The HX2 version forms one of NATO’s most widespread logistics vehicle families, serving Germany, Australia, Norway and other allies. Rheinmetall’s acquisition of MAN Defence in 2020 brought truck production under the same group as its combat vehicle portfolio.

Under Australia’s LAND 121 programme, Rheinmetall-MAN won the logistics vehicle tender — 2,500+ HX2 trucks being delivered to the ADF. This contract made MAN HX Rheinmetall’s largest Australian revenue line alongside the Boxer MRAV.
