PARS 4×4: Nurol Makina’s Amphibious Scout That Swims as It Fights

Nurol Makina’s PARS 4×4 needs zero preparation before entering deep water — twin stern propellers and a monocoque hull handle the transition automatically. That same platform peaks at 110 km/h on roads, earning it a rare dual-medium distinction in the scout-vehicle market.
Designed for special operations and reconnaissance, the PARS 4×4 bridges a gap most wheeled platforms leave open: amphibious manoeuvre without engineering support. A four-man crew transitions from river crossing to road sprint in minutes, with full independent suspension and ABS disc brakes managing the terrain shift seamlessly.
Protection meets STANAG 4569 for both ballistic threats and mine blast. Standard equipment includes eight smoke grenade launchers, automatic fire suppression, and positive-pressure CBRN protection that keeps the crew operational in chemical and biological environments. An integrated air conditioning system supports extended-duration missions.
The PARS climbs gradients up to 70 percent and fords natural water obstacles without modification. Its 25 hp-per-tonne power-to-weight ratio drives performance across soft terrain, while a 7.5-metre turning radius delivers meaningful agility in confined urban settings.
Strategic airlift compatibility distinguishes the PARS from conventional scouts. The vehicle is cleared to fly aboard C-130H, A400M, C-17, and C-5 transports — a requirement baked into the original design brief for rapid-insertion special forces operations.
Configuration variants span forward observation, anti-tank guided missile, command and control, and dedicated reconnaissance roles. The PARS remains the sole amphibious model in Nurol Makina’s 4×4 family and is produced entirely in Turkey.
