ASELSAN MİLDAR: Helicopter Fire Control Radar in T929 ATAK-2

ASELSAN is integrating the fire control system for helicopters radar MİLDAR into the new generation heavy attack helicopter T929 ATAK-2. MİLDAR is a critical component in achieving the helicopter’s full operational capability.

Special Radar for Helicopters

MİLDAR is a millimeter-wave (MMW) radar specifically designed to meet the operational needs of helicopters. It combines tasks such as low-altitude flight, target detection, and fire control into a single system.

Importance of ATAK-2

T929 ATAK-2 has a heavier payload and greater weapon-carrying capacity compared to the current T129 ATAK helicopter. The integration of MİLDAR allows the helicopter to fully utilize this capability.

Export Expectations

There is significant interest in exporting the T929 ATAK-2 helicopter produced by TUSAŞ. MİLDAR is also expected to be sold as part of this package.
